Choosing a Good Personal Trainer
Effective personal trainers have a genuine passion for what they do, and seek to inspire their clients to improve their health and wellbeing. They are always positive in their actions and words and create a comfortable, patient and understanding environment. It is essential that your training program meets your needs and is safe for you. It is important that you tell your personal trainer your goals such as improving your flexibility, weight loss or to just feel better. You can expect to undergo a routine fitness screening including cardio, flexibility and strength test and a weigh in so that your basic level of fitness can be assessed and a program developed to meet your needs. Ask what is realistic for you to achieve within a set period (as discussed with your GP or health care provider). Ask how your results should be reviewed to gauge progress against your goals.

All personal trainers are not the same, so how will you decide which one will suit you and your needs? The best way is to get a referral from someone you know who has a personal trainer that works well with them and is able to meet the needs of their clients.
